ABINGDON, Va. — Mark Blevins has been creating wood pieces for octad years and was one of a number of woodworkers on site Saturday at the Sawdust Festival in Abingdon.

The fourth annual Sawdust Fete was held at the Holston Mountain Artisans Craft Shop in Abingdon in conjunction with the Virginia Highlands Festival. Like Blevins, Ilowiecki has a veracious passion for this hobby. He said helium much uses wood from Florida to work. The former pilot now spends much of his clip woodturning. He uses a tool that rotates a piece of wood and allows him to form information technology using various carving tools.

Much of his work features reused materials, which he showed visitors, so much as colored pencils. He also uses leftover wood for his projects.

A numerate of quilters and a basketmaker were also on site Saturday.
